Here. Have some random facts about myself. Why? Because they've been popping into my head randomly over the past few weeks and they need to go somewhere.
~I sleep with my hair on top of my head.
~ I cannot remember movie quotes, even if I've seen the movie several times. My brain just doesn't register those as important things to remember.
~ I promised myself in college that I'd never sacrifice spending time with people in order to sleep.
~ I love dispatching, but hate the thoughts that creep up around 2 AM
~ I loved having a huge extended family growing up, but dread the coming years of them dying.
I'm sure I'll think of more but at least there's something!
This is my blog. This is my little corner of the internet where I can get out my thoughts and feelings. I take no regard for any possible readers, nor do I care what any possible readers may think of my words. My readers are privileged to know about this blog and should feel as such. If they feel entitled to judge, ridicule, mock, critique, criticize or react in any sort of negative way, please see your self out and never return.

I Want My Human Back...
You read that correctly. I want my human back. What exactly does that mean? It means I'm on the verge of throwing my phone against a wall because I'm so freaking sick of it. Calypso has been gone for almost 3 weeks now. During those 3 weeks, I've celebrated Christmas with my family, been the only sibling without their significant other around, got some sucky news about my grandma (prayers for her would be much appreciated), gotten some stressful news, gotten my hopes up about him coming home soon, and gotten those hopes shot down, too (out of his control, but still disappointing).
I'm sick of being in a relationship with my phone. I'm sick of only texting or e-mailing. I'm not someone who opens up easily, let alone via technology. He called a few days after Christmas, but I was with family and didn't hear my phone ring :( It isn't his fault. It really isn't. He's been making an effort to text when he's awake. He's e-mailed when the wifi wasn't working on his phone. He called, after I e-mailed him about my grandma. But words on a screen aren't the same thing as a voice in my ear or a human being in the same room.
So, I sit here, and I wait. I live my life. I continue to smile, laugh, and do all the things I love, because I am so enamored with everything I have in my life. I make plans. But I can't look at the clock without figuring out what time it is where Calypso is. And I hope that we're one day closer to him being home.
